Glossary

Bearing bars, or Main bars: the bars that will support loads applied on the grating; must be installed perpendicularly to the supports.
Its specifications is given by dimensions H x E.

Cross bars, or Secondary bar: they join and maintain the bearing bars perpendicularly, forming of this union a rigid structure that avoids the falling of the bearing bars, and increases the grating load capacity.

Mesh: is the space formed by the distance “A x B” where “A” corresponds the distance from center to center of the bearing bars, and “B” the distance from center to center of the cross bars.

The size of a panel is defined by the dimensions “C x L”, where “C” corresponds to the length of the bearing bars, or span, and “L” the width of the panel, or direction of the cross bars.

Span is the free distance between two bases or supports.
